Electrical Engineering is the study of design and maintenance of electronic equipments and electrical devices. It prepares individuals for handling electrical systems, testing new products and providing feedback for any shortcomings in designs.

Electrical Engineering deals with the mathematical and physical aspect of electricity and electromagnetism. Students learn on how electricity is produced and what are the various components of electrical devices. Professionals are trained in handling and designing large-scale electrical systems across various engineering domains.

Who can pursue Electrical Engineering? 

Electrical Engineering can be pursued by anyone who has completed Class 12th in Science background and must have studied Mathematics in Senior Secondary Level. Such candidate can pursue BTech in Electrical Engineering course. After completing BTech, one must appear in GATE and can pursue MTech in Electrical Engineering.  

What is the scope of Electrical Engineering? 

After completing Electrical Engineering course, graduates can either pursue higher studies and enter into academics. They can also work with private companies or government undertakings as Project Engineer, Controls Engineer, Test and Design Engineer etc. Electrical Engineers can work in designing consumer appliances to manufacturing large-scale industrial equipments or designing spare-parts for telecommunications systems etc.
